We are pleased to announce that Ets Jean Sabine has obtained the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification for more than 70% of our product range. This certification is essential in the textile industry and underlines our commitment to sustainability, safety and quality of our products.
Our commitment to sustainability
At Jean Sabine, we firmly believe in social and environmental responsibility. Obtaining the Oeko-Tex certification in 2023 is an important step in our journey to reduce our impact on the environment and offer our customers products that meet current standards.
The benefits of Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification
It ensures that our products meet stringent criteria for harmful substances, both for human health and the environment. It also ensures compliance with REACH. Our customers can therefore have complete confidence in the safety and quality of our products.
Supply chain control
To obtain this certification, our supply chain (suppliers and subcontractors) has been audited and certified to the standard. This includes the traceability of raw materials, compliance with environmental standards and implementation of responsible manufacturing practices. In our case, our process was audited and our products were ironed and rolled.
What it means for our customers
More than 70% of our products in direct contact with the skin (class II) are certified by the standard. This applies to our unbleached, finished, heat activated and laminated cotton and polyester fabrics. We are currently working to extend this certified range to our linen cotton products and to test the non-certified products we buy.
