Oeko-Tex® certification ensures the safety of textiles on a higher level than REACH. It intervenes at all levels of the production chain and verifies the various criteria by directly testing the products. Through audits, the organisations also check the conditions under which the textiles are manufactured and the presence of a Quality Management System (QMS).
We have recently obtained certification for our fusing and laminating processes and for a large part of our product range; most of our suppliers and subcontractors are already certified.
GOTS® certification is a global standard for textiles made from organic fibres. It is an independent certification that involves certifying the entire supply chain to obtain a GOTS® end product. It imposes strict environmental and social requirements.
At JEAN SABINE, we were certified as a non-committed party for a principal, before launching certification in our own name and obtaining our own certificate. In 2023, we decided to extend this certification to certain finished products and we worked on extending it by getting one of our main subcontractors certified. We are now working on certification of our adhesives, to include our heat-sealing process in our certificate.
The France Terre Textile® label is to preserve French know-how and jobs. It is a national label, available in regional versions, which guarantees local production, transparency in the supply chain, product quality and the environmental commitment of companies. This label is in line with the company's values and commitments. This year, we wanted to be awarded the label to give concrete expression to our efforts to concentrate sourcing and production in France. In addition to the company, we have also had our fabrics labelled to ensure better product traceability. We are proud to have obtained this typically French label.
